Unsporting

Marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe says elite sport could be open to "manipulation" unless tighter rules are applied to transgender women.

"Right now, transgender women are not a threat to female sport," she said.

"We need to protect female sport but we also need to protect transgender women and their rights.

"For all this to advance fairly to everybody, we have to accept it might take a while, work together and stop attacking the other side."

Stop attacking the other side? That's probably not enough - not nearly enough.

I think that the "problem" can be easily solved. Put all the trannies into the paralympics, on the grounds that these unfortunate blokes are either penile amputees, or else mentally ill.

Without getting into complications the sex at birth should be the category for competing in sports.

Sam - I wonder if it would be enough to require the penile amputation? That might work with knife crimes too - give them a sporting chance.

Cherry - that would work but of course gender activists would hate it.

Paula is playing safe, if she comes down hard as I suspect she wants to against this nonsense, she will be vilified by the LGBTXCBEMAK mob, Martina Navratilova, who made the same point and would one would have thought had a decent reception was herself vilified and sadly apologized, my piece on this on this on Broad Oak stated I felt they should have their own category, but that would not be good enough as who would watch a couple of dozen freaks battling it out.

Wiggia - it wouldn't be good enough politically either. The ethos of the thing is that males really do become female because gender is supposedly a social construct. It isn't of course but there is no arguing with political correctness.
