Ah, I remember the spare jacket trick. Leave a jacket hanging on the back of your chair when you leave for an extended lunch - returning the following day. When somebody comes looking for you they assume that you must still be on the premises. Remember to always carry a document folder as you leave and walk with purpose. Tighter and frequent fire evacuation drills put a stop to that, because anybody not ticked off as being present at the fire assembly point was assumed to be still inside the building, and was searched for.
