Ed Miliband denies his Net Zero policies are keeping Brits' energy costs high
The Energy Secretary insisted it was 'not correct' to suggest Labour's bid for a decarbonised electricity grid was increasing the burden on families.
But he did offer some hope of relief for hard-pressed households as he hinted Chancellor Rachel Reeves could scrap VAT on energy bills at next month's Budget.
The Government is under fresh pressure over Mr Miliband's green energy drive after household energy bills rose again this month.
The useful aspect of Ed Milband's Net Zero fantasy is the stark exposure it brings to political dishonesty and the importance of factual analysis.
In this respect, Miliband is as useful as Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves because the political message has never been clearer - it is exceedingly foolish to give any credence whatever to their claims.
The other useful aspect is that Miliband highlights a need to be generally sceptical about climate change policies. If someone like Ed is required to push them there is an obvious conclusion to be drawn.

‘If someone like Ed is required to push them…’
Are you referring to his inherent characteristics or his disposability when the inevitable happens?
Actually, the Spouse and I were discussing Miliband recently (in the light of the newly discovered North Sea Oil deposits) and I had an idea; since we appear to be mothballing drilling platforms under his governance, perhaps he could be induced to take up residence on one for a period of time to demonstrate his commitment to repurposing the remains of a once-proud industry - transport back to shore by net zero rowing boat only, of course.
I am sure it is just a coincidence that Miliband, Reeves and Starmer are all Jewish Zionists with hidden agendas for the British people.
We should find the buzzard who taught Weird Ed A-level Physics and put him in the stocks.
Macheath - that's an idea, he could take up residence on one and show us something about repurposing. A problem with politicians such as Miliband is the professional liar aspect, he could be a disposable mouthpiece or he could adjust his views as Net Zero crumbles. I hope he goes down with the ship but I'll not put any bets on it.
Anon - hard to say but I didn't know about Reeves.
dearieme - it's mildly puzzling that he didn't absorb the fascination of a scientific outlook from A-level Physics. My teacher imparted that and it stayed with me, but maybe his teacher failed to pass it on. Or Ed just didn't get it and learned everything by rote.
