That was very light on facts, but most people know what the outcome will be anyway. It is now so obvious that politicians have no chance or intention of doing what they said they would do, that we are probably looking at a changed game. Electoral promises are just a form of ritual, like the post-election speech or those Geordies who compete to be first with the count results. It's just something that politicians do, an historical reference to the archaic purposes of democracy. People who are shocked by it will be like those people who are surprised to hear that the monarch doesn't actually rule.
Rayner's superpower is her unassailable ignorance. Miliband's superpower is his unassailable ignorance.
Is 2TK's superpower being able to pick duds (3 ministers down so far plus the idiots still in place) without their failures staining him? We used to talk about Teflon Blair, perhaps Teflon Starmer follows in his footsteps?
Sam - yes it is light on facts, although in a previous video he gave a brief outline of his construction industry experience which seems to be so extensive that he is inclined to shake his head in disbelief rather than go into details.
dearieme - that's a good point, it must be why she was handed the target and why she accepted it. "I know housing, Keir" she probably said with enormous confidence.
DJ - yes, picking duds must be a clue to Starmer's big weakness, as if he can't even distinguish between duds and passable mediocrities. Teflon Blair had Mandelson and Campbell, but Starmer seems unable to find his Teflon guardians.
Anon - good point, it would be easier to list areas where she isn't delusional... or maybe not...

Oi! You're talking about a woman with considerable experience as a landlord and with established expertise on Capital Gains Tax on property.

I believe there are two excess words there, though your point is accurate.
