Here's what you need to know

- here's what you need to know indeed. It is possibly just me, but I do dislike condescending headlines of this type. As if that's it whatever your level of interest and knowledge. As a mainstream piece it's fine within its limitations but  why add that condescending line?

It makes me think of garbage like - here's what you need to know about climate change.

Makes me assume it is click bait and I am being invited to follow a trail of factlets with annoying pop-ups, pop-downs, pop-ins-from-the-sides, false Next choices, and if you are really lucky an audio pop-over.
Only to reach the end and be really "So was that all?" dissappointed.

I've given it some thought, and can't actually find anything about missions to Mars that I need to know.

The stuff I need to know is how to get an emergency delivery of heating oil without paying a massive surcharge; how to operate the dog's lead clip when wearing mittens; whether my baby fig tree will have enough soil if planted against our wall.

Nothing about the red planet in there at all.

Doonhamer - sounds familiar. We are learning to avoid them but what will they try next to get those clicks?

Sam - I'm quite interested but wouldn't go to a mainstream news source to keep tabs on these things.
