Good - now there is no need to do anything

TV environmentalist and campaigner Sir David Attenborough has issued a grim warning to world leaders on climate change: "It's already too late."

Speaking on the invitation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson to the United Nations' Security Council (UNSC) session on climate, Sir David said simply: "Please make no mistake - climate change is the biggest threat to security that modern humans have ever faced."...

"There is no going back - no matter what we do now, it's too late to avoid climate change and the poorest, the most vulnerable, those with the least security, are now certain to suffer."

Interesting that orthodox climate pundits feel no great compulsion to say things that make sense. Surely someone in climate land finds this embarrassing.

I think it's important to remember that Sir David Attenborough is just a television presenter. I pay no more attention to his opinions than I do to Keith Lemon's.

Apparently young David first engaged with the idea that mankind was destroying the environment when he attended a lecture by the famous Native American conservationist "Grey Owl"...who turned out to be a lying fraudster from Hastings called Archibald Belaney.

There's a moral in there somewhere.

David Bellamy was more clued up about this massive scam, so had to become a non-person.

I loathe Attenborough due to his awful breathless vocal pomposity and his inability to see he's just a propaganda tool for vested interests. I sometimes watch his wildlife programmes with the sound off, as the visuals are usually spectacular.

Sadly, he's not a patch on his talented brother-actor Richard. But despite having not much talent, he ticks all the boxes at the unpleasantly 'woke' Brussels Bullshit Corp.

Having spent his entire adult life flying all round the world, he now wants everyone else to stop doing that, as well as giving up most of the things that make life more comfortable. One of the best attributes of man is the ability to adapt and embrace change. When (if) the sea really starts rising I am quite sure that a solution will be quickly found. His deathbed conversion does not convince me.

Just looked up 'Belaney' in the local phone book, and there aren't any family left in Hastings...

If he's so concerned, I'd rather he popped over to China or Russia - even North Korea, and asked them (nicely) to start becoming more civilized etc. That would make news, but maybe not the sort the awful BBC would let us know about.

Maybe he could use Operrara Windpipe's Lear Jet?

this idiot needs removing post haste before any of this nonsense comes to fruition.

Attenborough is also fond of saying there are too many people in the world. He is 94 so he knows what he needs to do next to help reduce the population......

Man Beach - which highlights an oddity about the climate game in that any celebrity seems to be qualified enough to harangue us about it.

Sam - ah yes that rings a bell. Now I'll think of him as Grey Owl Attenborough.

Ed - "his awful breathless vocal pomposity" that's just what I dislike about him. That and his obvious determination to promote himself in every single programme he does.

John - that's it, he has spent his entire adult life flying all round the world and so many prominent environmentalists do the same, apparently without an atom of self-awareness.

Scrobs - that's the irony - he should go and harangue the Chinese if he really cares.

Wiggia - yes, I don't like the look of this at all.

JD - yes he is fond of saying there are too many people in the world but that problem should solve itself if people like him don't strangle economic development.
