Almost too obvious

The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine has been approved for use in the UK, with the first doses due to be given on Monday.

A further 20 million people in England will join the toughest tier of Covid restrictions from Thursday.

Approve the cheap vaccine then ramp up the restrictions. Nudge millions of people towards actively wanting the vaccine. Almost too obvious.

Expect the rhetoric around those not actively seeking vaccination to be ramped up. "Anti-vaxxers", "covid denialists", etc.

Plus attempts to game the system with fake proofs of vaccination, etc.

I'm waiting for the first restrictions on the unvaccinated to be announced. Travel? Education? Work? Pubs?

Travel? Education? Work? Pubs? not looking good at present for all those, travel is out, education is to be postponed again, work, we will have to wait a bit longer to find out how many have no work going forward, and pubs, well how many are left anyway.

It's amazing to think that during WW11 we coped so much better, still onward and upwards...........................

One death in Switzerland from the mRNA concoction. 3150 (2.8%) of 112,800 Pfizer injectees in the USA have experienced reactions severe enough for home recuperation.

It's good an actual vaccine (in the traditional sense, formulated using normal methods) has at last been approved. Personally, I'm avoiding any mRNA stuff, as it's likely there will be more adverse reactions, as it's been rushed-out and only partially tested, all for Big Pharma's profits.

Almost right, but don't forget it'll be 'Far right' Anti-vaxxers and 'far right conspiracy theorist' covid denialists...

Sam - I'm waiting for the first restrictions on the unvaccinated too. We are definitely on some kind of slippery slope. A green one is my guess.

Wiggia - yes it is amazing and generally people probably would cope if allowed to. Older people particularly, and who else needs to cope?

Ed - we are likely to avoid the mRNA stuff too, for the same reasons. If we aren't given a choice we shall probably decline the vaccination.

Mac - 'far right conspiracy theorist covid denialists' - yes I can certainly see that coming.
