Scratching my head
Over the years, the issue of head lice in schools has cropped up a few times in relation to the grandkids. Some parents out there obviously don't bother to check their kids for the little blighters and those who are more careful have to deal with it. Daughter-in-law thinks girls with long hair are the main problem.
Anyhow, whenever the issue has cropped up, we adults suddenly seemed to acquire an itchy scalp. Just talking about it was enough. Mrs H and I have both experienced something similar during the coronavirus debacle.
Before the lockdown we got up early for the school run and were in the habit of going out again almost every day, either for a walk in Derbyshire or just for the sake of getting out of the house for a coffee or whatever. Lots of fresh air, lots of walking.
Since the lockdown and the intense, unrelenting propaganda storm, we have both noticed a tendency to feel as if we just might have something vaguely similar to a distant relation of a mild flu-like condition - sometimes, on and off, when we think about it. We don't feel quite as fit as before, not quite as healthy.
We know the sensation isn't real - it's like that imaginary scalp itch whenever we mention head lice in schools. It is certainly interesting though. Will the intensity of the coronavirus propaganda cause a major increase in hypochondria? Has it done so already?

Yes, same here. A vague, sniffly feeling in the evenings as if I have a cold coming on, but nothing the next morning. If this is the virus, it's very mild indeed or else taking its time before it incapacitates me. My best guess is that I always feel a bit under par during the colder months, but now I have a new label to apply or withhold.
I've had a snotty nose for more than two months so I'm hoping incoming viruses can't swim . . .
A K Haart,
"...major increase in hypochondria?"
Sure and that will increase as the MSM increase their fear factor.
Wait!! Damn!! {Reaches for tissues...}
It's the kids with clean hair who are the most vulnerable for nits, apparently!
And as for feeling slightly odd at home, we've been like that just today, but I put it down to the three large malts and a bottle of red before bedtime, so maybe that's the reason...
Mrs O'Blene has had a conking headache all day too, but feels much better now!
Last week's warm sunshine and flowers started the hay fever season for me, which manifests just like a cold when the season starts. Or maybe it is just hypochondria?
There’s hypochondria and then a real feeling. I’ve felt similar on scalp, skin etc.
Sam - mine disappears next morning too. It also disappears if I go outside and get stuck into a few jobs.
Jannie - I suppose it depends on the rate of flow, the current they have to swim against. They certainly don't look like strong swimmers.
Mac - the fascinating prospect is what the MSM will come up with to compare with this and keep the fear factor on high. Could be a problem for them.
Scrobs - blimey, three large malts and a bottle of red would finish me for quite some time.
Woodsy - I remember taking the dog for a walk in long grass during the pollen season. The pollen would drift off the grass like smoke, almost as if it was on fire.
James - yes it is a real feeling and easy enough to identify if we know the cause.
