Viral madness

One enjoyable activity at the moment has been to scan a few of the anti-Trump media narratives linked to the coronavirus debacle. Some people just can't let go. If Trump were to invent an infallible cure for the coronavirus outbreak tomorrow in front of dozens of reputable witnesses he'd still get no more than grudging credit from much of the mainstream media. There is no doubt about it, strong political allegiances send people mad.

Apart from that we've been enjoying the sunshine in the garden and getting a few jobs done over the past couple of days. At the moment, not rushing around enjoying ourselves is proving to be quite enjoyable.

My walk with JRT this morning took an hour!

More chums in the village were about, keeping to the rules, and it was a very satisfying experience!

I did miss the normal huge hug with a favourite girlfriend though, we normally make it last several seconds...

(Hmmmm - as long as that - Mrs O'Blene),,,

Yes, a more relaxing pace of life here, although goodness knows what we will do with the children when the bad weather resumes.

One interesting feature is how people are signalling their social distancing more intensely. Shoppers hover pointedly so as to maintain two meters distance; you can almost see the force-field. Walkers and cyclists in the countryside keep their heads down as if you could catch it from a glance. Apparently looking worried and watchful is the next best thing to alcohol-based gel.

Scrobs - store up those hugs, we'll all need them eventually.

Sam - we saw the social distancing while out walking a few days ago but some groups of people didn't bother. There was a breeze up on the moor so we made use of that when we passed people - based on an assumption that the virus can't leap through the air against the breeze.

Trump is all they have left to heap their bile on, Brexit is past, or should be and climate change is on the back burner during all this, so Trump gets the lot now.

Wiggia - almost as if they are hoping for a pandemic disaster to blame on him.
