Eco-Dentistry

Something Zack Polanski and the Green Party could pursue is dentistry without links to the hated oil industry via local anaesthetics such as lidocaine

Unfortunately for eco-zealotry, this is produced via various chemical pathways beginning with such oil-derived compounds as xylene.

Maybe the Green Party could promote eco-dentistry without anaesthetics at all?

As an alternative to oil industry pain relief they could promote dentists' chairs with straining bars attached. Eco-patients would take a firm grip of the bars during the more painful eco-procedures.

Alternatively and with Zack's background, hypno-anaesthesia could be promoted as a way to enhance the efficacy of the straining bars.

When in the dentist's chair, lie back and think of voles

I seem to recall videos, many years ago, of Chinese operations where the patients, instead of being given anaesthetics, were hypnotized not to feel any pain. Wasn't convinced it worked.
On the other hand, Polanski's patients bountiful enhanced bosoms could lead to interesting conversations over the dinner table.

Nah. I expect that the Greens believe that there will be enough oil, petrol, and diesel in cars marooned in 15 minute cities that it can be gathered back in (by ox cart I expect) and used as feedstuff for more desirable formulations.

And if the lidocaine smells a little fishy then oil collections from fish and chip shops have been re-manufactured too.

Could we strap Zac into the eco-chair and ask him "is it safe" for a few hours?

decnine - maybe that will be part of Zack's hypno-dentistry, although he might slip up and get people to think of bigger and bigger voles.

Penseivat - I recall something like that too, Chinese hypno-ops. Polanski will never see the end of comments about bountiful enhanced hypno-bosoms though.

DJ - I suspect Greens don't believe any of it will ever happen, they just think clever technical people will keep things going for them while they signal their virtue.

Mike - good idea and a few hours could turn out to be a little longer while we wait for the sun to come out and feed the solar panels which power the drill.

There are enough unkempt graveyards in the UK without having to put up with the madness of this ridiculous bloke messing about with lunatic stupidity...

Scrobs - yes he's ridiculous, he's stupid enough to destroy any remaining faith in politics and voters.

My partner and I have been watching Ben Fogle and his 'lives in the wild'. I don't there's anything wrong with trying and living outside normal society, getting closer to nature and being innovative. But I start to get a bit cross, when some of the subjects pour scorn on mainstream society and the way it has developed. Modern society and industry has developed some truely wonderful technology and facility for human beings. If you get a horrible bacterial infection by some mishap you don't have to die.

Tammly - Mrs H and I enjoyed a very attractive woodland walk on Monday. Sunny day, peaceful woodland, part of it along the most attractive stretches of Cromford canal past the Victorian pumping house. It is uplifting to spend time closer to nature but we couldn't even get there without modern achievements such as roads and transport and without modern hygiene and medical advances we probably wouldn't even be here.

The Greens defile it all because everything has to be political, in the gift of government, their style of government. They contaminate almost everything they touch with their weirdly relentless dishonesty.
