This gender stuff is fascinating. For these French Canadiens / Canadiennes what are the pronouns, etc. for chaise, what I might call la chaise? The translator at these gatherings has a sticky wicket. Going through all the French text translated from English and changing every gender. But that they/them harridan, pronouns "effin" , would still find some terminological faux pas to winge about. Meanwhile here in Scotland we have solved the gender trap. Everybody is called "hen". Elsewhere there is "duck", "petal", "loove". And Many others.
