Interesting video on how Antoni van Leeuwenhoek might have made the tiny lenses he used to make hundreds of simple, single lens microscopes using techniques he kept secret.

You and I may think that he was some kind of genius but in fact it was just a form of toxic Whiteness and colonial oppression.

Mike - that's a good point, progressive museums ought to point this out before visitors get the idea that it is okay to make major discoveries.
