Government and the immigration industry

An interview with Steven Woolfe about immigration and the evasive snobbery of elites who do not appear to care if it causes long term problems for the general population. Quite long but worth watching - Woolfe is articulate and interesting.

Yes, many thanks, an excellent speaker. I couldn't recall having heard of him before, and it's interesting how Wikipedia is obviously trying to rubbish him in lots of tiny ways (Fights, criminal convictions, failure to secure pupillage in his barrister career, etc.) He gradually warmed to his theme, and got more incensed and unguarded towards the end. My guess is that he keeps this under careful control in order to be really effective.

The most shocking aspect is the "immigration industry" and its scale. Obvious when it's pointed out, of course, but lots of people have lovely jobs with pensions and a sense of virtue because of ongoing immigration. They are not going to give up without a fight.

Sam - yes that is the most shocking aspect. I suppose it's an example of how powerful omission can be, but I do wonder if it is also an example of information leaking out incrementally via the internet which may ultimately reach some kind of critical mass.
