We seem to have a minor spate of well-known people popping their clogs. Gary Rhodes and Clive James appear to be the latest but at least Adam Adamant is still around.
I remember the Adam Adamant show quite well but it ran for less than a year between 1966 and 1967. Strange how impressions sometimes stay with a chap for decades because I didn't think much of it at the time.

In another 10 years he will be as old as his character. Let's hope he can still wave the sword-stick around.
AA was the replacement for The Man from Uncle, I think
Adam Adamant certainly made a big impression, considering the shortness of its run. He lived on top of a multi-storey car park, if I recall rightly. I later thought the high security Bold Lane car park in Derby would be ideal!
Sam - maybe displaying it will be scary enough.
okjoe - I certainly remember The Man from Uncle. Silly but watchable if I remember.
Edward - I'd forgotten about living on top of a multi-storey car but yes, the Bold Lane car park would have been ideal.
