That's interesting terrain. The softer hills look as though they could be here in Sussex, but having rocks break through completely changes things. I suppose it's unremarkable for you, but seeing bare rock and boulders always looks alien and vaguely thrilling to me.

Even on a dull day this is great countryside, reminiscent of the Cevannes in southern France.
Sam - yes the bare rock and boulders do add something elemental. Most of our favourite walks are over terrain where exposed rocks are a common sight.
Wiggia - it is great countryside. The only faint regret is that the day will come when we can't walk it.
