We were there a few times in the past, delightful place. A mile or two south of Duns on the north bank of the Blackadder is Nisbet House (Wikipedia), ancestral home of the Nisbet/Nesbitt of the Ilk. Also not far away are the Greys of Howick, note Sir Edward Grey of 1914 and many others. As in Earl Grey tea rather than fizz. Watch out for longships and rough looking chaps waving battle axes.

Sam - thanks. Weather forecast is iffy, but we have wet weather gear and plenty of alcohol.
Northumberland is on our list to explore, perhaps you'll do a trevelogue when you get back?

Demetrius - I'm hoping to see some longships, but they may have landed already under cover of mist.
