The Board of Electors for his Chair comprised six members appointed by the university superstructure and only three members appointed by the Faculty Board.

I didn't notice "comprise", possibly because I've been skimming through estate agent jargon for at least a year.
Tammly - I like it too, far better than Private Eye.
I reckon that 'celebrity' is an adjuvant - in this case providing assistance or help to someone's career. In politics and celebrity generally it can also have the reverse effect because greater fame may reveal greater failings. And no-one in the political machine wants to court failure by associating with greater failings.
So yes, Jo Biden vanishes from memories. As does Kamala Harris. But also who 'remembers' the various BBC characters that failed. And perhaps even 'events' that were helped to prominence such as the 2008 financial crisis or COVID 19. Even the Climate Crisis is now appearing to have been helped too much.
DJ - "greater fame may reveal greater failings" and that seems to be a growing problem, in our digital world the failings may be easily and widely disseminated and in some cases they whizz around the world 24/7.
