Earth Day started as a US 'teach-in' 56 years ago. Now it's a global event
Millions of people around the world will pause Wednesday, at least for a moment, to mark Earth Day. It's an annual event founded by people who hoped to stir activism to clean up and preserve a planet that is now home to some 8 billion humans and assorted trillions of other organisms.

Best intentions hijacked by loonies and/or those with other agendas.
Trying to keep the place clean ends in eco-zealotry.
Trying to do something for the poor ends up with those of us who work to look after ourselves and our families being fleeced to fund the lifestyle choices of freckles wasters and a free ride for anybody who can make their way here from their own shit hole.
I think it is a White race disease. Suicidal empathy some call it.
