Coronation Street is still going?! I last watched regularly with Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner, Ken Barlow etc. Len Fairclough.

James - I believe Ken Barlow is still there but that's all I know. Soon be full of AI characters I expect.

"Coronation Street star . . . has hit out at the ITV soap for focusing on crime plots." From what we've read the soaps are still playing "copy the plot" with one another. With Londonistan being the crime-ridden shithole it is, it's only natural that the awful Eastenders would reflect it and thus Coronausea Street would copy it.

Jannie - maybe their audiences are gradually dwindling and they copy the plots to at least stay level. A soap called Londonistan could be a good idea though, they could cram in any amount of awfulness without stretching credibility.

The government should watch it - I think they've lost the plot.

Tammly - and they don't know anyone who can write a new and more plausible one.
