'Ouch': Starmer condemned for telling MP 'she talks rubbish'
Sir Keir Starmer should have reassured and explained his immigration policy to a senior Welsh MP rather than telling her "you're rubbish", Labour peer Harriet Harman said...
She said she has "been that woman standing there asking the prime minister a heartfelt and serious question, and had the prime minister say, 'you're rubbish'".
Baroness Harman added: "I kind of went 'ouch' at that point, because I've been in that situation myself.
Baroness Harman could reflect on those situations where she has also been accused of talking rubbish and ask herself if at least sometimes it was not entirely undeserved.
Not deserved most of the time of course, Harriet is hardly likely to cross that political bridge, the Honesty Troll lurks beneath that one.

It's a shame an MP, any MP, on an opposite side of the House, can't tell Starmer he is talking bollocks.
Penseivat
Good move, Keir! You've upset the MP, further alienated Plaid Cymru, reminded that electorate that you are less than nimble in debate, shown your stupid knee-jerk aggression, and have also drawn fire from your own party members.
Give us more, please!
Penseivat - good point, because they all know it except the man himself.
Sam - he will give us more too, he doesn't seem to have any idea of the effect he has on others. A touch of wit and he might get away with it, but he's not the man for that.
The free snort* has made him reckless.
Well it would have to be free.
Voladymir, " Do want a bag of nose dust? "
T.T.F.G. "How much is it?"
V. , " Itta free. "
T.T.F.G. " I'll take ten. Oh, all right, round it up to a dozen. By the way, did you know that my dad was a tool maker? "
I trave a lot in Co Durham, I go to pubs and when I get tipsy I tak to people. People there are lefties. 100% in the past year, all hate him, they say to me he just lies all the time. I've had old people coming to me saying we live in a dictatorship, people whose families used to work in the pits. Every single one, it's uncanny.
Doonhamer - something has made him reckless, I wonder if nose dust has to be checked by security services? He should have kept himself grounded by learning to be a toolmaker, something practical.
Anon - that's very interesting, it does sound uncanny. If Labour works out that their traditional voters can read him too easily and don't like what they read, then sooner or later he'll become a political lost cause. Sooner would be good.
TTK's problems are mounting daily. His smattering by the Albanians rather sums up his ridiculous stance on immigration, and now others will follow suit!
What a walking disaster we have for the next four years!
Scrobs - hopeless isn't he? He never seems to learn about the likely reactions of other people.
