I enjoy a good spoof... but an article in the Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/politics/biden-white-house-age-function-diminished-3906a839?reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink) (paywall) reckons that Biden was 'diminished' and managed by his handlers for all of his Presidency.

Now I think that was common knowledge within the group of people that care about such things but for the WSJ to make this so public? While he is still President (in name only). Although I expect there will be a lot of forget the past and move on articles in the main stream media.

Perhaps there is no such thing as bad publicity... but there may be a reckoning.

DJ - I agree, I think it was common knowledge among those who care about these things, including the WSJ and numerous other media outfits around the world.

I remember saying as much to some former work colleagues about nine months into the Biden Presidency and they were astounded to hear such a thing. They clearly didn't believe it, presumably because it wasn't on the BBC.

Interesting how Starmer claimed Biden was "on good form" when he met him. He didn't know the script was about to change, so was lying even then.

And now his Christmas present to America is Ambassador Mandelson. I thought the turkeys were for thanksgiving.

Sam - in his quiet way, Starmer must be the most habitual liar we've ever had to endure as PM, although it's a crowded field. As for Ambassador Mandelson, it's not far short of an insult.

The appointment of Mandelson only strengthens the case that Starmer is merely the Son of Blair (without the charisma).
