Peak Insanity

I like the way this chap expresses himself on modern lunacy. Sometimes words in a blog aren't enough and don't get to the heart of the madness inflicted on us.

Governments have become nudge, framing, and spinning machines. Newspapers have become entertainment. Neither of which are a reliable view of the world. The internet has been co-opted for viewpoint dissemination for a while now.

It's all a game for those who wish to wield influence and power. No wonder people are largely ignoring 'events' - they are choosing to disengage which makes the elites dig deeper and deeper.

David Starkey writes:

With this new fluidity, the court of Number 10 suddenly looks like a harbinger of the future rather than a survival of the past. And, even afloat on its sea of alcohol, its informality gave us the triumph of the vaccine programme, whereas the calcified “structure” of Public Health England delivered the catastrophe of Test and Trace.

Tik tok is owned by the Chinese anyway, so Biden is completely at their mercy. If they decide they are pro-Russia, then his terrifying phalanx of influencers is about as useful as all those bajillion-megaton missiles that he's paid for but daren't use.

@Sam, the missiles aren't for using, they're for persuading the other chap not to use his.

DJ - I can see why people would choose to disengage. There is too much dross yet still an enormous amount of material to stir the interest, well away from mainstream hysteria.

dearieme - the trouble is, people may still vote for the calcified “structure” of Public Health England and it will certainly be pushed as the best format by the usual suspects. Although I hope Starkey is right.

Sam - and of course influencers respond to their audience, it isn't a one way influence.
