Bernie on Castro

BERNIE Sanders' praise of the Cuban dictator Fidel Castro may spell the 2020 downfall of the Democratic frontrunner.

During a 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper on Sunday night, Sanders said Castro's communist Cuba wasn't actually that bad.

What is it about daft old farts? Usually the UK trails the US when it comes to fashion, but this time we toyed with our daft old fart before the US. Has the world gone mad?

If these idiots (and he's not the only one) think communism is so good, why don't they go and live in places like Cuba or Venezuela? It's easy to bang on about such countries when you have all the benefits of Capitalism to fall back on...

It's just like Diane Abbott's televised claim that she thought that Mao did more good than bad. By their friends shall we know them.

One of the most chilling things I heard about Castro's regime is that before executing prisoners by firing squad, they would extract as much blood from them as possible. In order to boost stocks of plasma, the prisoner would often have to be carried to the stake because they were so weak and light-headed.

Dave - yes he is far from being the only one and they never do clear off to Cuba or Venezuela do they?

Sam - and those stocks of plasma would not be destined for ordinary Cubans, those who had to bring their own bandages to hospital.

The one and only thing Bernie Sanders commented on about Cuba was education, not communism. Venezuela became a dictatorship and went from riches to rags. When you have a mad man in control the country will be doomed. RIP USA.

Laura - yes I don't know how the US would cope with Bernie Sanders, I just assume and hope it won't have to.
