The adults really have left the room

Greta Thunberg has warned "those in power" she will "not be silenced when the world is on fire".

The teenager was welcomed by chants of "Greta, Greta" as she addressed some 15,000 people at the Bristol Youth Strike 4 Climate (BYS4C) event.

She accused politicians and the media of ignoring the climate emergency and "sweeping their mess under the rug".

And much of the responsibility for the adults leaving the room lies with the BBC.

Like Harry and the yank, I'm fed up with the awful BBC rabbiting on about these minor 'slebs'.

They're all a sodding nuisance, and get in the way of proper issues we face, not perceived rubbish! (Like what might happen if the sky caved in)...

If Greta or the BBC think that this bit of the world is on fire, they are welcome to come to Sussex and verify it for themselves. It has rained heavily for most of the day and everything is too wet to burn.

Love the way that her handlers still insist on dressing her as though she were a twelve year old. The slightly too large anorak, be any slightly skewed.

That should be beany. Curse you, autocucumber!

An old friend of mine lived in Roffey, Sam, and I worked with a chap with the same name!

He once told me that it was another term for a deer pen...

Not a lot of people know that, and I hope the floods haven't got too high round your way!

Scrobs - yes they are a sodding nuisance, and they do get in the way of proper issues. Almost as if it's deliberate.

Sam - it's the same here even after a dry day, puddles and squelch everywhere.

Timbotoo - yes it's weird, dressing her as though she were a twelve year old. She could end up as the Jimmy Clitheroe of climate change.

James - her minders didn't even bother to change the script did they?

This annoying teenager should be in school, learning some accurate facts about the world, not parroting the lies with which she's been indoctrinated.

Luckily, there's another young climate activist, who has absorbed some real facts:
Naomi Seibt, a 19-year old from Munster, Germany. Unlike the cabbage-patch doll, Naomi has intelligence and facts at her fingertips.

Ed - yes she should be in school learning some accurate facts although her controllers probably aren't after the kind of audience where facts have some weight. It's an odd thing to do as it makes the climate game into a game children can play as if the adults have lost interest. All very strange.
