The lad Corbyn
At the moment I'm slogging my way through Tom Bower's book on Jeremy Corbyn. Well written as usual but unexpectedly hard work because old Jeremy seems to be considerably less interesting than I imagined. With all the depth and fascination of a pancake he comes across as a guy who never really grew up.
Oh well - time to plough on with it.

I enjoyed Bower's book on Blair because Blair is a genuine monster, and his tenure of the top job was historically important. There is a good deal of pleasure in having one's prejudices confirmed about illegal wars, say, or the failure of the NHS. I don't think I'll bother with Corbyn, though. He has achieved nothing, good or bad.
Mind you, I'll be ordering it if the scruffy old ideologue gets his hands on the keys to no. 10...
Think of it as suffering on behalf of the rest of us AK...............
Sam - I think Corbyn could be a monster if he had the charisma. Without it he seems unlikely to get his hands on the keys to no. 10. The people round him are more of a threat politically but they don't have much charisma either.
