Could you cope?

It is not necessary to know anything about chess here, but the game is unusual in that even a strong international player can end up playing a very talented youngster. The embarrassment possibilities are obvious.

The video is an impromptu blitz game between Samuel Sevian and International Master Greg Shahade played about six years ago when Samuel was a ten year old chess prodigy. He went on to become the youngest ever United States Grandmaster.

I know nothing about chess, but found that very entertaining.

The fun in chess went out when computer progs took over. Up to then, it was always a fair battle...

My Dad was very good but I was not. Perhaps it was because it is a game where it is difficult to cheat.

Sam - it is isn't it. Difficult for adult players.

Scrobs - yes, I haven't played competitive chess for decades, but I sometimes wonder how it affects club players knowing that cheap software could probably beat them.

Demetrius - there is always gamesmanship. An old trick was blowing cigarette smoke over young upstarts who might beat you.
