Here is the BBC version of Mitt Romney inadvertently saying what everyone knows to be true. Indeed, it has even been suggested in some quarters that Romney may not be a born liar.
A secretly filmed video has emerged showing Mitt Romney disparaging Barack Obama voters at a private donor dinner.
The Republican nominee is shown saying the 47% of Americans who back the president do not pay income tax and would never vote for Mr Romney.
"I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives," Mr Romney says.

Agreed. It cheered me up when I heard it. Completely true, and in any world that values truth, just as completely innocuous. A pity that he back-pedaled a bit when challenged, but he still stands by the sentiment. I'm almost growing to like the bloke.
Sam - yes, looking round the web, I think it impressed quite a few people.
Do take a look at Justin Fox's article in Harvard Business Review, a hotbed of lefty opinion ; ). In it he explains where Mitt's 47% comes from - pensioners mostly. Not a smart comment to make.
Now I have been troubled by a nagging question - which gameshow did Mitt Romney host?
Roger - if they are pensioners, I'd expect Romney to know that as he has the reputation of being a numbers man.
