Andrew faces being cut from line of succession

Sir Keir Starmer will consider passing a law to remove Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the line of succession.

It is understood that any change to legislation would take place after the police investigation into the disgraced former prince is concluded.

The historic move follows the arrest of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has been stripped of the title of prince but remains eighth in line to the throne after Prince William, Prince Harry and their children.

The chap is 66 years old and eighth in line to the throne. Even Keir Starmer must know there are more pressing issues.

For example, who is next in line for No. 10?

More urgent to remove Harry and his children - so they might as well do them all in one go. Then the line of succession would presumably be Wm/K and their nippers, whom failing Edward and his. If that lot all fails it would be Anne and hers I suppose.

If I were in charge I'd want them to become much less focussed on the Thames Valley. Give Buck House to the Houses of Parliament to use while their own building is repaired and buy a castle/mansion house in, say, the North of England and one in Wales. Then tell members of the family to park their bums there or at Holyroodhouse.

It's just Stumbler doing his effete virtue signalling again. Meant to distract the anti-monarchy set in his party with something that Stumbler will never be around to see through.

Anon - I agree, it is more urgent to remove Harry and his children and out of the Thames Valley sounds like a good idea. Not Derbyshire though, however tempting Chatsworth might be.

DJ - yes it's just Stumbler's grasping at straws virtue signalling. He could have helped kick off a stronger anti-monarchy movement though.

I'm thinking that the first 7 need to develop eyes in the back of the head, don't fly etc. ... plenty of films and stage shows about such things.

James - yes, William and family shouldn't fly together by helicopter.
