Blimey - almost as soon as Joe Biden signs up to the Paris climate agreement it begins to snow here in Derbyshire. Are the two events linked? Is there any point to recycling all those yogurt pots?
We have had quite a bit of snow here in Norfolk this month, brings a sort of 'glow' to ones thoughts that the local UEA have managed to get it totally wrong for another year since the good Doctor said this in 2000.... "According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.
And this from another informed source.....
"David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold."
Nice little snippet on recycling from here in Sussex. My wife wanted to collect a couple of hundred jam-jars to put candles in, for some church service. So she put out a little request, via sermon and newsletter. We have been absolutely inundated. Within a day, dozens of full bags left on our steps, parishioners stopping their cars outside and unloading boxes of them, and old ducks pressing a couple of jars into my hands in the local shop.
Rev. Vega is delighted. She is talking about a resurgence in faith, and the Church being at the heart of our village.
I don't have the heart to tell her that these poor villagers have been cramming their recycling bins full to bursting for the last three weeks. Christmas packaging and wine bottles, plus the council services taking a week off, mean that everyone's wheelie bins are overflowing and filling garages, outhouses and porches. These selfless Christians are just offloading their recycling onto us.
James - not much here either. Enough to be worth a few photos though.
Wiggia - I'm still amazed that someone would make predictions like that yet they still do. Even when we make fun of them because they turned out to be wrong, it doesn't seem to make much difference.
Sam - a nice story but I hope you aren't thinking of telling Rev. Vega the real reason for all that free glass. People must eat a lot of jam.

We have it up north here too. Not lots of it, just bits.
