It's interesting that the media here don't say much about the troubles currently experienced by European leaders. Would we want to join an economic union where one major power was convulsed by significant civil unrest every single weekend? If the EU is so good, why are governments tear-gassing their farmers and pensioners on a regular basis?
Sam - and of course it isn't only France which has acute social and political problems. The BBC could easily stitch these issues together as a state of the EU presentation but doesn't and we know why.

Just about sums it up.

James - and it isn't difficult to sum up.
