Out of the mouths of babes and ducklings.....
Sitting in the doctor's waiting room with my daughter, then aged about four and waiting and waiting....
Having seen several people who had arrived after us getting called first, she announced in clear, bell-like tones
" Now I understand why we are called PATIENTS"!
I reckon all grandchildren know much more than they're letting on...
That's a priceless one!
I agree with Michael.
I assume you left out the large slug of gin.
Edward - at that age they aren't too fussed about lowering their voices are they?
Michael and Roger - so do I. That sideways glance sometimes gives them away.
Demetrius - we have to because in winter we don't run the still in the shed. The vapours are too obvious in cold air.

missred - yes they are although it's not something I'd usually notice.
