should say that it’s more picturesque and better for everybody concerned that
there should be secret courts presided over by blind, deaf and obstinate old
men than that the country should be run by imbecile and corrupt millionaires.

I’m not so sure about preferring the secret courts presided
over by blind, deaf and obstinate old men, but I’ve had enough of the
imbecile and corrupt millionaires. Financially corrupt we could probably deal with if only we had less of the political and moral variety.
