Mimicking the herd invites regression to the mean - Charlie Munger
Very clever indeed. I love it when people do this type of research and then have the skill to present it so engagingly. Always seems to be Americans...A modern eight-year old being almost fast enough to claim a bronze back in 1895 - beautiful!
Sam - "Always seems to be Americans..." It does doesn't it? I hope we never lose that aspect of American character.I'm sure there's something odd about a modern eight-year old being almost fast enough to claim a bronze back in 1895. Something to do with needing a marker to aim for - not just more fitness.
Just about three seconds but that is three seconds in twelve so it's substantial.
James - it's huge, too much to explain by physical fitness in my view.
