You may have already tried this, but if you go to Wood for Trees interactive, you can plot your own climate graphs such as the one I generated above. It shows global temperature for the last 100 years (HadCRUT3 variance adjusted) with a number of simple trend lines and normalized Mauna Loa CO2 data.
I was taking a look back at the temporary correlation between CO2 and temperature - remembering with regret the trouble and silliness it led us into.
It's worth a dabble if you like dabbling.

Sometimes the earth warms up and then at other times it cools down and parts become very cool. This is not predictable exactly as too many variables are involved. So don't bet on it.
D - I'm certainly not betting on it.
If you need to invoke statistics, what you really need is a better experiment.
I am inclined to believe there is something in this climate change stuff. But I doubt humanity will do much to prevent problems - so I will pour another glass and stop worrying.
