To widespread surprise voters turned out in their millions to vote for
a North London Austin Allegro as our highest political inspiration - or Prime Minister as the position is officially known. Sadly the Allegro has yet to cross the finishing line but at least we now realise how much life is left in the seventies. Time to dig out those crushed strawberry flares I reckon.

Back in the mid 1970's our Morris Marina Estate used to turn people's heads in St. Tropez. It might have been the styling but it could have been the exhaust fumes.
The Tory's situation may be bad now, but worse in 2022. By then they will have achieved nothing, everything delayed and bogged down in internal knife fights. Meanwhile Labour will be emboldened by its good showing and might even have got its act together. Nice one Theresa.
This one went over my head. Something about being around the bend?
Demetrius, back in the seventies whilst on holiday in Greece I met two young men who worked on the Marina production line at the time, the stories of bodging and faulty parts made to fit etc would if public knowledge have finished BMC a lot earlier.
Demetrius - my guess is the exhaust fumes.
Roger - the Tories need to dump Theresa as quickly as possible and move on. Nothing else will do.
James - stuck in the seventies and round the bend.
Wiggia - it used to be said that if a bent nail would do the job, then Ford would use a bent nail.
