I have no wish to send ripples of envy through the
blogosphere, but today we dined out for lunch. Before shopping we nipped into
the Tesco cafe for coffee and a mince pie. It’s called style – some of us have
it and some of us don’t.
For under a fiver it wasn't bad, so no need to have words with chef either.

Given that you were shopping, I trust there was not an excessive amount of brandy in the mince pie.
Sam - isn't Waitrose rather too middle class?
Demetrius - I couldn't taste any at all, but we added a few bottles of wine to the trolley. Might buy a drop of something warming later.
