Edwardian Girls

Edwardian styles of 1908. A short section at the end suggests a remarkable change took place over the next twenty years.

The most remarkable change seems to have been the end of the photographer's revolving chair. That first sequence was distinctly alarming. Presumably there was an assistant below eye-level who propelled it.

Sam - perhaps the assistant was the cameraman's mum who then referred to herself as Lady Turner.

The remarkable change was presumably the First World War.

Phwoar to the Edwardian gels. Alas, my grannies were earlier in their younger days. As to the 20's and that fetching fur coat, was it best rabbit?

Some pleasant viewing in bed later.

WY - I assume so although it may have happened anyway. Those later fashions were much more suited to cost cutting and mass market appeal, plus American influences and the cinema.

Demetrius - probably an endangered species rather than rabbit. They were more robust about these things.

James - whatever do you mean?
