I think it's helpful if children build up a little immunity. How are they going to cope in later life if they haven't caused a few accidental discharges?
Sam - yes, without a few childhood flesh wounds and powder burns, kids won't cope with the bigger stuff later on.
Accidental discharge impossible, eh?
