Met Office blinks first

Met Office temperature projection - Sept 2012

If you are interested in climate change, you may have seen this story already at Tallbloke's blog or Bob Tisdale.

I'm posting on it because of my September 2012 post on Met Office temperature projections. At that time, only a few months ago, the Met Office assumed the stalled warming would soon pick up dramatically.

Well guess what? The dear old Met Office has quietly changed its collective mind.

January 2013 version

These graphs were both derived from an extremely complex computer model running on very expensive kit. Somebody has authorised a major tweak and it is reasonable to assume that the rest of the official climate world knows all about it. This tweak will have both a name and an official narrative, although we don't yet know what they are.

We live in strange and profoundly dishonest times. The Met Office is a national disgrace, but something significant and official seems to be going on in the disgusting swamp that is climate science.
