Clicks among the outrage

From the Telegraph  we are told -

Two British men have become the first in the country to give birth after putting their gender transitions on hold.

Hayden Cross, 21, and Scott Parker, 23, were both born women, but chose to have children before full surgery made it impossible.

Yes, the two "men" are of course women but no doubt the Telegraph knows it can use such stories to harvest some clicks along with the outrage. It's all very modern in a race to the bottom kind of way.

In April Mr Parker gave birth to his daughter Sara who was conceived following a drunken one-night stand with a friend in August last year.

Last month Mr Cross delivered his daughter Trinity-Leigh via Caesarean section, after he found a sperm donor on Facebook and inseminated himself.

By pure chance I have just had a conversation with JD about Robert Millar the ex pro cyclist and TDF King of the Mountains winner who has now declared himself as Phillipa York.
No problem with that but his Wiki page under the heading Robert Millar has obviously been under pressure to change it's name to Phillipa York, indeed the race results of the eighties refer to York, this of course is total nonsense as it was Robert Millar that achieved these results, Phillipa York was not even a name on the horizon then and if it had been should have been competing in womens events, the world is going mad.

I think Hayden and Scott could have provided better value for money by getting married to each other as gay men and raising their two children together.

I thought 'that was some achievement', but of course it was no achievement at all, just a waste of newsprint.

A race to whose bottom?

Wiggia - it's nonsense isn't it? From you link we have "She won the "King of the Mountains" competition in the 1984 Tour de France..." which is simply false - it should read "He won...".

Sam - I'm not sure there is any value to be had here.

Roger - I assume that is what we were supposed to think.

Sackers and DCB - could be Jeremy's, he's the go-to guy at the moment.
