The Telegraph reports on a fascinating new device capable of firing Londoners into Scotland. I'm not sure why one would wish to do that, but isn't technology wonderful?
It is also very costly needing large subsidies and huge borrowing to build. It is roughly the equivalent of the first mail coaches of the late 18th Century, only for the few and paid for by the many.

Expect trouble when they try and route that across the Chilterns.
Should do wonders for sales of silicone sealant.

Sam - and when they try to pay for it.
Roger - it could kill off train spotting though.
Demetrius - that's how I see it turning out - expensive. We should let someone else try it first.
