Ridge tiles

We seem to be remarkably good at choosing houses where ridge tiles are likely to be blown off in high winds. Lost another three in the recent winds. One landed on the garage roof, smashed about six tiles but the ridge tile itself is unscathed.

Ah well, at least it missed the car.

You need more moss on the other side of the ridge.

Sam - I'll ask the roofer to add some good quality moss when he sticks the new tiles on.

Actually you need a roofing system that uses mechanical fixings (ie dirty great stainless steel ringshank nails) rather than cement.

But probably not possible with those tiles...or against some silly planning rule or other.

Sympathies.

WY - the pic is from the web, I couldn't get a clear view of ours with my cheap little camera. I suspect you are right on both counts though.
