Good post but we are not talking/voting our way out of this. We are heading to another version of Judea/Palastine/Israel. There will be an existential battle to fight and I am not certain that we are up to it. I don't see the sort of numbers of men that will be required to stand up against the Islamists and their fellow travellers.
Jannie - and they will start slanging the realists, over that or something else. Much more diverse political ideas is a good thing in itself, but one way or another it may not be allowed.
Mike - I'm not certain that we are up to it either. Too comfortable, too easily swayed towards appeasement, too embedded in the here and now.
AND someone from the Forces was quoted this morning as saying that the British army now only had the capability to take half a small market town - on a good day. Oh shit!
