  3. When the Powers That Be resort to bread and circuses is it any wonder that the 'best' performers attract star billing? Even if it is 'Clown most likely to be next President'?

    In the UK Stumbler has no 'star qualities' and no policy hinterland beyond his Fabian script - we deserve better in my opinion.

  4. DJ - and the underlying problem is that US Democrats know they can shove a performer into the Oval Office because millions can be persuaded to vote for the act and the virtue-signalling.

    In the UK it seems to be much the same, Stumbler was supposed to be the safe pair of legal hands doing the Fabian virtue-signalling. Unless voters see past the act and virtue-signalling, voting standards won't improve.
