I find many youtubes unwatchable as the presenter wastes time by trying unconvincingly to show what an affable bloke he is. Also, especially in American ones, they often have baseball caps glued to their heads and impose vile quasi-music on the sound track.
Give me old time jazz or a spot of Beethoven - that's what youtube does well.
dearieme - I mostly watch chess videos which don't usually have those problems, but most of the others seem too long to me, padded out with all kinds of tedium.
A few are fine though, they have something to say or show and that's what they do. Simple DIY videos for example.
