Quality Street axes plastic wrappers for recyclable paper
Nestlé says change after 86 years will keep 2bn wrappers a year out of landfill
Quality Street’s multicoloured confectionery will now all be a bit more green – or that is the hope – as the foil and plastic wrappers are swapped for recyclable paper.
Should kick the environment back into shape. Hang on though - what if the green paper wrappers are just tossed into the landfill bin? They could biodegrade and create enormous burps of Quality Street methane from landfill sites.
So many questions.

I think people will continue to do what they always did; purposefully throw them in the sea. The sea with the dolphins
ReplyDeleteSam - I think my favourites were the ones in a purple cellophane type wrapper, so not very green.
ReplyDeleteBucko - maybe dolphins would recycle the new green wrappers by eating them.
