Spot the difference

Yes that's right - it's the headgear. Alfred the Great is the odd one out.

  1. What on earth is Corbyn riding? (Apart, I mean, from a wave of popular affection). That looks like a road-bike that has been photoshopped to make it look like a unicycle. Is someone trying to suggest that he does in fact possess one identifiable skill?

  2. Have never worn a helmet and never will. It gets in the way of hearing and distracts from the road. Most unsafe.

  3. Alfred the Great is also unique in being allowed to carry a sword in public.

  4. Sword also permitted during examinations at Oxford, provided you're in full Cavalier dress... I was told.

  5. The three barmy bikers are the odd ones. Alfred is the only one with any sense.

  6. Sam - I think someone stole the wheel but Corbyn merely sees his loss as a positive affirmation of equality he must cope with as best he can.

James - I read somewhere that statistics suggest they are no safer than riding without one.

Woodsy - in his day it was probably advisable.

Sackers - I wonder if you would be ejected if you appeared in full Cavalier dress without the sword?

Demetrius - doesn't he make them look silly?
