Evening sky


It took this photo from an upstairs window during sunset last night. The photo doesn't do it justice, the colours far more vibrant than anything I could ever capture. So transient too.  

We see a real mix of skies in the UK, don't we? Sunsets, stormy skies and inky black nights with a sprinkling of stars are my favourites.

    Cameras never do seem to do justice to landscape - would a 3D camera?

    Sackers - I don't think so - the vastness of the sky was part of it. The colour flooding out of the clouds too - it lit up the kitchen even through the blinds.

    There have been so many beautiful sunsets of late, but this is stunning, and well caught!

    Michael - thanks and yes, there have been lots recently. I took some photos of an earlier sunset but this one was even more dramatic.

    I like sunrise too, but getting out of bed is an issue with photographing those at this time of year.
