Fake tree


While walking in Somerset I saw one of those phone masts disguised as a tree. I won't point it out though, you'll just have to guess.

  1. Actually, lots of trees have evolved to look like phone masts now. Apparently it saves them from being cut down, or attacked by pests.

    You can see an advanced example over on the extreme left of your picture. That is a field maple that has evolved to mimic a post supporting a power line.
