As well as polit...It's an interesting concept. As well as political, I think it is manifested today in the <i>administrative</i>. The Jobsworth, the Health & Safety zealot, and of course the Equality and Diversity nuisance. All of these seem to combine pious adherence to a fixed code with a heedlessness as to how this might come across to others.<br /><br />In politics it seems to crop up quite a lot in the green and associated movements. This is where middle-class righteousness really thrives today. Corbyn and May just can't compete. I think it has something to do with the reality of power involving pragmatism. Even Corbyn is pragmatic within the context of Labour Party internal power-games. This is something Greenies never have to bother with.
